I happened to visit Kasauli with my family, a quaint small old British time cantonment town near Chandigarh surrounded by forests cloaked with tall pine trees. . Through my friend’s reference, We happened to stay at Pine Crest Ménage in village Chabal near Kasauli. It was a very delightful experience to our surprise. The property nestled in pine trees offers some picturesque views all around.
The valley, pine forest, Simla hills and layers and layers of the mountain range were visible from our bedroom windows. I asked the owner what Ménage meant and he explained that it’s a French word for home or members of a family. It truly lived up to the name making us feel like part of the family in a home away from home.
The staff was very courteous and the chef cooked sumptuous meals. The beautiful sunset made way for a live outdoor barbecue with our favourite music playing in the valley and we enjoyed karaoke singing. The feeling was just divine and the hospitality was out of the world.
